Learn about Masalawali Chai

Masalawali Chai operates on land cared for by the Tongva and Chumash People.

Through pop-ups and partnerships, we offer a rotating selection of freshly brewed chai, sweet & savory snacks, non-caffeinated beverages, and chai mix.

Meet your co-host Bijal

Bijal (she/they) is the founder and chaiwale of Masalawali Chai.

As an activist whose work is rooted in love and accountability, Bijal's work with Masalawali Chai focuses on the connections we form within and between marginalized communities, the conversations we have over chai to heal and liberate ourselves, and the work we do together to dismantle the systems that harm us all -- some of which were built in the name of the tea, spice, and sugar trades.

Learn about Tejal Yoga

Tejal Yoga exists to bring people into community together, specially people that value yoga and social justice.

Through South Asian led yoga programming, we offer daily meditation, yoga, satsang, and rest practices to a global community.

Meet your co-host Tejal

Tejal (she/they) is the founder and organizer of Tejal Yoga.

As a person committed to accessibility, belonging and community, Tejal’s work with yoga centers on the understanding that our uniqueness and apparent differences are what bring us together in a shared fight for collective liberation. We can understand this framework of collective liberation when we move from the co-opted individualized western style of yoga most often practiced in studios towards the authentic, culturally-rooted, anti-caste and anti-oppressive ways of holistic yoga.

Join us on Sunday, September 29th for an afternoon of community and connection through yoga and chai.

We Look forward to spending the afternoon with you!
