Answer the Global Call to Action.
For the 11th annual International Day of Yoga (IDY), Yogis for Palestine and Tejal Yoga invite you to embody yoga in the service of Palestinian liberation.
Over the weekend of June 21st - 22nd, we call on yoga teachers to gather in a local park or studio and host a donation-based yoga/meditation class themed around taking collective action to end the Zionist entity’s 77-year occupation of Palestine and ongoing genocide and siege against Palestinians in Gaza.
• All funds donated to Camp Al-Jawad •
Register your class from anywhere,
anytime on June 21-22nd to participate!
Rather than celebrate International Day of Yoga, we are inviting yogis to:
Hold space for collective grieving & healing for our Palestinian martyrs & kin;
Demand an end to Israel’s genocide & ethnic cleansing of Palestine; and
Use the power of yoga to call for the dismantling of the Zionist entity and a free Palestine.
In 2024 on IDY, Yogis for Palestine organized our first International Day of Yoga action for Palestinian liberation in Philadelphia, PA. For this year’s IDY, we wish to amplify the impact of our call to action. That’s why we are collaborating to call yoga teachers globally into collective action to help “reimagine what spiritual and political solidarity with the struggle for Palestinian self-determination can look like within the embodiment of [our] yoga practice.”
We continue to articulate the same demands listed above, and given the recent escalation of violence in Indian-occupied Kashmir, we also invite yogis to consider what solidarity with Kashmiris living in one of the most militarized zones in the world can look like in their practice and offering.

Why Join the Global Call To Action?
This is your invitation to activate your yoga practice as a tool for collective care and political engagement. Let’s gather in community to grieve, to organize, and to envision a free Palestine and a freer world.
Rooted in the values of anti-imperialism, solidarity, and embodied resistance, this Call to Action challenges yogis to align their practice with justice, not as a performance, but as meaningful participation in liberation movements.

The Values Behind the Call to Action
Yogis For Palestine
We are Yogis for Palestine (Y4P), a collective of yoga teachers and students, who strive to embody our practice by politicizing yoga toward action for Palestinian freedom and liberation. We understand that yoga, like any cultural practice, is not inherently liberatory and peaceful; however, we believe yoga can be used toward liberatory politics and collective healing.
While the organizers of our collective reside in Philadelphia, PA (occupied Lenni-Lenape territories), we are open to yogis from around the globe who share our commitment of using yoga toward decolonization, anti-oppression, and social justice liberation to join us in our mission. Follow us here at www.yogis4palestine.com
Yogis for Palestine Vision:
Our vision is to witness a free and self-determined Palestine in our lifetime; and to support the collective healing and care of a Palestinian future.
