Processing Grief/Rage
Last week I was reminded that it's okay to be in a state of existential crisis while processing the grief/rage that comes with living at a time when we are pushed by the powers that govern to feel helpless in order to stop resisting. Whether it's overt or not, the aim of these powers is to exhaust and disenfranchise each one of us so that our resistance feels futile.
I've been bolstered by community, each one of you, by your presence, your public voicing of concern, and by seeing how you've taken action in your spheres of influence. On a larger scale, your efforts show that we can help people when we fight the apathy that comes with the push and strain of business as usual in a time of crisis! Keep it up. Have you also found solace in these small and big ways?
"Try not to second guess yourself." What an important reminder for me, for you, for everyone you know that needs to hear this.
Let this be a reminder to you that wellness isn't always bright and shiny. Despite your best efforts, being well can sometimes seem like you're constantly swimming upstream against the current. As you acknowledge your process of shedding and rejecting the old ways, let yourself lean in to the various means of support that will take care of you and hold you.
I hope Tejal Yoga practices and teachers are a place of support for you as you've been for me.
